Public Safety Officer of the Year
The Georgia Elks Association incorporated the Officer of the Year Awards in 1992, under the leadership of then State President Doug Patterson, to recognize our communities Law Enforcement Officers. This award was modified in 2000 to include all Public Safety Officers. Each Elks Lodge in the state is asked to nominate its reciprocate to the PSO Committee for our state competition.
The Georgia Elks Association proudly supports our community's Public Safety Officers. These individuals put their lives on the line everyday to protect us. These awards which are presented at our state meeting every year are our way of thanking these individuals for all that they do for us and our communities.
