Georgia Elks Association

Georgia Elks Aidmore Auxiliary Welcome

Georgia Elks Aidmore Auxiliary President
My theme this year is “Busy Bees for Aidmore”. You may be asking yourself how bees relate to Aidmore. The dictionary defines a hive as a busy place swarming with activity where the young are raised. Beehives are created to house bees for the purpose of producing honey and pollinating nearby crops. I can’t think of a more appropriate word to describe the Elks Aidmore Children’s Center. Bees, like women, are delicate, hard working creatures. Each hive is inhabited by one queen, female worker bees and male drones. The ladies and men of Elkdom are already dedicated workers and I am sure they will continue this tradition. Aidmore is our HIVE; the residents are our QUEEN. Everything we do is for them.

Our mission is the help the Elks, their families, and communities through the spirit of Patriotism and Community service.

Our goals this year are to increase membership, purchase new windows for the Arts and Recreation building and increase contributions to Aidmore.

We must concentrate on increasing our membership or we will become extinct.

The administrators and residents of Aidmore will taste the sweet honey when we participate in events and provide monetary support.

We have started selling chances on a SPARKLING 2 CARAT DIAMOND BRACELET. The bracelet will be given away at the October meeting in Albany and all the proceeds will go to the Aidmore Children’s Center. Remember this will be the only fundraising project we will have this year.

I thank you for your confidence in my ability to serve as your president and we are going to have a great year being “BUSY BEES FOR AIDMORE”.
